Help

RentalBot is designed to be simple. Most bookings can be created and shared in under a minute.

Below are answers to the most common questions from hosts and guests.

For Hosts

How do I create a booking link?

Go to Create booking link, enter your email, and click Create generic booking link. You can stop there or add dates, guest count, and price later, once you and your guest agree.

Can I share a link before dates or price are finalized?

Yes. That is the recommended way to use RentalBot. Many hosts share a generic booking link first, then add dates and pricing once details are confirmed with the guest.

Do guests pay any service fees?

No. Guests pay only the amount you set. RentalBot charges a small fee to the host only when a booking is completed.

How do I get paid?

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. If it's your first booking, you'll be asked to add payout details after a guest books. Once set up, payouts are sent automatically.

Do I need an account?

No account is required to create or share booking links. You'll only be asked to add payout details when you're ready to receive funds.

Can I edit booking details after creating the link?

Yes. You can add or change dates, guest count, and price anytime before the guest completes payment.

Is RentalBot visible to my guests?

Lightly. Guests book on a checkout page with your name and property front and center, and their confirmation email comes from you via RentalBot. We never add guest fees, never market to your guests, and never hold their contact details back from you. Payment is handled by Stripe, and the card charge currently appears as RentalBot on the guest's statement.

Can I use this alongside Airbnb or Vrbo?

Yes. RentalBot is not a marketplace and does not replace listing platforms. Most hosts use it for repeat or word-of-mouth guests.

For Guests

Is my booking secure?

Yes. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a trusted payment provider. You'll receive instant confirmation after booking.

When do I enter dates or guest details?

If the booking link is generic, your host will add dates and pricing once you both agree. You'll be able to review all details before paying.

Who do I contact with questions?

Contact your host directly using the information shown on the booking page or in your confirmation email. RentalBot doesn't relay messages, so you'll always be talking to your host directly.

Troubleshooting

I didn't receive my booking email

Check your spam or promotions folder. If you still don't see it, contact your host directly.

My guest says the link isn't ready

Make sure dates and price are added before asking the guest to complete payment.

Something doesn't look right

If a booking detail looks incorrect, update the booking link before payment is completed.
